Messages Left at Camp

Delia's Memorial Presentation
About:

We celebrated Mom's life in August of 2013, at the camp of course.
I prepared this MS PowerPoint presentation for that celebration. It ran throughout the day.
It is a 45 minute long tribute to our mother, authored by the youngest of her children.

It was a labor of love.

Technically:

It is a 275 MB file and will take minutes to download.  The amount of time will depend on your bandwidth.
Also, it requires MS Office PowerPoint or a viewer.

Picture

An old colorless photograph of a woman looked back at me.
Dark hair hung loosely above her shoulders, a pale but lovely face.
I wondered what dreams this woman may have had,
What plans might have washed away in some silent tears.

I grew to learn that she possessed intelligence and love.
But now I realize the youthful beauty, she once was.
I felt for her losses, youth and beauty changed by time;
Of opportunities lost, chances and journeys forgone.

Then a faint voice whispered from the photograph.
It’s the same voice that echoes from my heart today.
My son, smile with me, rejoice in the journey I took.
Because its many twists and turns, lead me to all of you.
